In addition to training competitive athletes and the general public, ASI has a passion and a desire to be accessible to everyone. One of the ways that is done is by training clients with specific needs and/or diseases. For example, ASI is involved in a Traumatic Brain Injury research study and a Parkinson’s disease research study.
At ASI, people with afflictions or diseases such as stroke, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis (MS), Alzheimer’s, and traumatic brain injury (TBI), all come to train and improve the quality of their lives. Exercise is a valuable tool to that end, but many patients feel that they cannot safely lift weights. SpeedFlex Training is safe and effective for everyone, regardless of age, gender, fitness level, etc.
ASI’s trainers are educated about each specific condition, and they help individuals to achieve their fitness goals with compassion and understanding.
Ginnie Conley, one of the trainers at ASI, is a Continuing Education Provider. You can read more about her course “Special Populations – Neurological Concerns“.
